Waste Heat Recovery Operator

**Job Purpose**

The WHR operator are responsible to monitor and operate systems and equipment of WHR plant (boiler, turbine, WTP & IETS), perform adjustments, observe factors such as temperature and pressure, write daily records, and replace equipment parts as needed. They may also maintain the cleanliness of areas, keeping supplies organized at all times.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Operation and Maintenance**_
- Assist in testing & commissioning of cogeneration system during project stage.
- Assist shift engineer in cogeneration system operation during O&M.
- Ensure optimal and continuous operation of cogeneration systems (Boilers, steam turbine generator, pumps, cooling system, WTP, Air compressors & etc) by performing routine inspections and maintenance, monitoring metering equipment and adjusting levels as necessary.
- Responsible for reporting equipment malfunction or trends which indicate possible trouble.
- Perform patrols for all responsible equipment during shifts.
- Perform actions as directed to correct abnormal operating conditions or emergency situations.
- Perform chemistry testing on water of boilers, cooling tower, WTP and IETS
- Perform other duties as directed by the WHR Shift Leader
- Carry out any other duties and responsible by superior from time to time.
- **Documentation**_
- Able to Create and Maintain Shift logbook through properly documented Operation Logs, records of inspections, maintenance routines and repairs.
- **Shift Turnover**_
- Carry out shift turn over at the start and end of shift e.g updating & receiving job status (completed/on-going/pending) to ensure efficiency of job transfer between shifts.
- **HSE & Compliance**_
- Ensure compliance to Factory & Machinery Act & Environment Quality Act
- Adhere and comply with HSE rules and regulations, quality, and energy management by carry out safety observations, analysis and improvement/proposal to achieve ZERO LTI.
- **Housekeeping**_
- Ensure all facilities, equipment, work areas and access route are kept in clean, good and safe conditions.

**Qualifications**
- Diploma or certificate in any engineering or science discipline
- DOSH certified Grade 2 steam driver/boilerman is preferred
- AESP
- 3 years working experience with boiler, steam turbine, water treatment system & cooling tower
- Experience working with boiler and steam turbine will have advantage.
- CIDB Green Card for project stage
- Able to work in shift
- Work under shift leader
- Able to learn basic control logic & water treatment

**Salary**: RM1,600.00 - RM2,500.00 per month

- Bahau: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

License/Certification:
