The Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) organisation is instrumental in protecting and ensuring the resilience of Standard Chartered Bank’s data and IT systems by managing Information and Cyber Security (ICS) risk across the enterprise. As a critical function reporting into the Group Chief Technology, Operations and Transformation Officer, the Group CISO serves as the first line of defence for assuring ICS controls are implemented effectively and in accordance with the ICS Risk Framework, Policy and Standard, and for instilling a culture of cyber security within the Bank.

The Group CISO is central to ensuring the Bank’s ability to meet its ICS commitment to internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, as well as maintaining an acceptable ICS risk profile that is regularly reported to the Board, and that is supported by the Group ICS Risk & Governance Function.

This role is responsible to lead the SWIFT attestation from e2e perspective to ensure that the Bank is fully compliant well before time and highlight any potential risk to the senior management well in advance by pro-actively identifying issues and possible solutions. The role will also actively optimise various processes in the team to identify wastage/opportunities and drive changes where needed.

**Strategy**
- Build self-service and scalable/efficient model to offer more with less and completing the attestation in shorter timeline while achieving the same objective,
- Exploring Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (where possible) to automate day to day processes, and management reporting,
- Align the team’s vision with Bank’s Chapter 3 strategy, ICS’s vision,
- Laser focus on Customer centricity (including Client, Regulator and internal) to create long term value proposition for them,
a strategic mindset and strong execution driven skill to align all relevant stakeholders for the common purpose. Provide SME risk and control advice and guidance, as well providing a feedback loop to Framework, Policies and
- Standard owner.

**Business**
- Effectively identify, assess, and manage any risk in SWIFT attestation by helping in establishing robust plans and Gantt chart to achieve attestation well before time,
- Responsible for highlighting emerging risks, issues, blockages, challenges, and trends on or well-before time

**Processes**
- Provide regular updates to various committees/forums and middle & senior management pertaining to SWIFT etc,
- Lead regular meetings with 1LOD testing team/ 2LoD assurance team, control owners for exception remediation etc involving senior stakeholders
- Collaborate with the relevant assurance artefacts/data between the control owners, testing team, second line team etc for their review, challenge, and approval, as needed,
- Provide opportunities to build the right mindsets, nurture our talent and develop capabilities as we continue to adopt the New Ways of Working (NWOW) through QPRs/MPRs and agile delivery approach,
- Regularly identify and implement opportunities for efficiency (via A3s) across processes, systems, and infrastructure through various process optimisation
- Ensure standardisation and best practice migration across regions, segments, and functions by working closely with the CISO,
- Manage e2e SWIFT assessment process including budget and recharge, if any
- Have an oversight on the SWIFT attestation progress for other JV partners eg Phoenix, Mox etc, Ensure control owners are informed about upcoming new controls and changes to existing controls.
- Work with technology teams and control owners and drive control improvements. Ensure the assets register is up-to date and asset reconciliation is performed.
- Execute the ongoing control checks as critical pre-condition to the annual attestation process.
- Closely work with CISO and CISRO team in terms of completing controls documents, providing correct artefacts etc Ensure the control documents are kept up-to date.
- Monitor any changes to SWIFT Assets and SINEWAVE and assess change impact.
- Transition manual assurance methods to automated methods where possible to improve control assurance confidence.

**People & Talent**
