Finance Associate

**Responsibilities**:
Financial Reporting:

- Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports for Bursa Malaysia (Malaysian stock exchange) and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure financial reports adhere to MFRS and other relevant Malaysian accounting standards.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and maintain annual budgets and forecasts, considering Malaysian market conditions.
- Monitor budget vs. actual performance, identify variances, and provide recommendations for cost control and optimization.

Compliance and Audit:

- Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits in accordance with Malaysian audit standards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations set by regulatory bodies such as the Securities Commission Malaysia.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

- Process invoices, reconcile accounts payable, and coordinate payments while adhering to Malaysian tax regulations.
- Manage accounts receivable, monitor collections, and address customer inquiries in compliance with local business practices.

Financial Systems and Tools:

- Utilize financial software and tools to maintain accurate financial records in line with Malaysian accounting standards.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve system efficiency, considering Malaysian tax requirements.

Cash Management:

- Assist in managing cash flow and optimizing working capital while complying with Malaysian banking regulations.
- Monitor banking transactions and reconcile bank statements as per local banking practices.

Ad-Hoc Projects:

- Support special finance-related projects and initiatives as assigned by the finance manager, ensuring alignment with Malaysian market conditions.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in accounting, business, business administration, business information systems, computer science or information technology, or equivalent experience.
- A critical thinker, leader, and problem solver with strict attention to details.
- Strong computer literacy and time management skills.
- Demonstrated solid work ethic and confidence on the job as well as high tolerance for instructing and assisting.
- Prior experience in a consulting position.
- Experience with business case development, requirements gathering and general ledger.

**Salary**: RM2,800.00 - RM3,600.00 per month
