Generic duties as required to support the work of the Vice Chancellor (VC) Office and the senior management team. -Draft speeches, correspondences, reports, submissions, publications, and briefing papers for internal and external stake holders. -Draft correspondences on behalf of the Vice Chancellor (VC). -Ensure the VC is suitably briefed for internal and external engagements. -Coordinate administrative activities in the VC’s Office, ensuring a smooth and efficient service is provided to senior managers. -Facilitate communication between the VC’s Office and other departments in the University, and respond on behalf of the VC’s Office to internal requests for information. -Coordinate the planning and management of internal and external events. -Undertake project work and special assignments for the VC which vary in size and complexity. -Monitor the progress of actions assigned to the VC, ensuring that they are followed up and deadlines met. -To serve as liaison officer for communication between the VC’s Office with government agencies (MQA). -Handle all administrative and financial admin tasks for the Vice Chancellor (VC). -Manage travel and accommodation needs of the Vice Chancellor (VC). -Attend internal and external meetings with the VC and take confidential notes or minutes, noting matters that require actions. -Any other task given by superior or the management.
