**Job Description** Role Purpose**

We're now looking for an Industry Research Analyst, Semiconductor to join our team. As a researcher and part of the Components and Devices Omdia pillar, you will help to coordinate Omdia’s semiconductor forecasts by communicating and working with multiple internal teams and external partners. In doing so, you will engage in primary and secondary research of semiconductor trends, interpret data, and analyze results using qualitative and modeling techniques.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Collecting semiconductor data from a range of systems and sources and inputting into systems such as Excel.
- Assist the semiconductor analyst teams on providing up to date semiconductor market activity.
- Assist the semiconductor analyst teams in using primary and secondary research to build a credible date base.
- Creating estimates where publicly available sources are not available.
- Ensuring consistency and alignment of semiconductor forecasts across multiple internal teams.
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
- Assist in providing qualitative analysis where possible to support and justify data.
- Understand and communicate the key semiconductor market trends.

**Qualifications**
- At least two years of experience within the semiconductor industry and/or prior experience as an industry analyst or market research
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments with a proactive approach to market research and data collection.
- A hunger to learn and develop new skills.
- Primary and secondary data and information gathering skills
- Multitasking - ability to prioritize competing tasks effectively
- Ability to find and piece together data from multiple sources and to connect the dots; able to create the “story”
- Use assumptions and logical thinking to create estimates and scenarios
- Planning and executing deliverables to capture key research highlights
- Strong knowledge of Excel for data building, data manipulation, and pivot table creation
- Experience working collaboratively towards a common goal; knows who and where to seek support
