Responsible for estimating the costs of materials, labour, and equipment required for a construction project.
- Develop and manage the budget for the construction project, ensuring that costs stay within the budgeted amount.
- Works with architects, engineers, and other professionals to plan and coordinate the construction project, ensuring that it is completed on time and within budget.
- Responsible for preparing and administering contracts for the construction project, including negotiating terms and conditions, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Controlling costs throughout the construction project, including identifying and reducing waste and managing changes to the project scope.
- Identify and manage risks associated with the construction project, including ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Finding ways to reduce costs without compromising quality, by considering alternative materials or construction methods.
- Manage Pre-tender to post-contract stages.
- Preparing contract documents, working on quantities, taking off measurement, providing cost, estimates and managing cost information.
- Handle progress claims, progress payments and finalization of accounts
- Negotiation of price with suppliers and sub-contractors, including of awarding sub-contract agreement
- To attend tender interviews, site show-rounds and liaise with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects, developers and contractors on certification of claims for payments.
- Take-off quantity for projects
- Sourcing for quotations from specialists, suppliers and sub-contractors
