**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. To assist the Safety & Security Manager in:

- Security Induction Course - Training of recruit officers to impart knowledge and skills.
- In-Service Training - conducting periodical In-Service Training for Security Officers - revision of the department duties, procedures etc.

2. Supervision
- Supervise and ensure that the Security Officers discharge their duties correctly and in accordance to their Duty Assignment, Procedures and Instructions
- Plan the deployment of Security personnel to ensure the premises is properly and adequately secured at all times.
- Surprise checks - conducting regular check on all ‘field’ officers to ensure that they are alert in discharging their duties efficiently and effectively. For this purpose, he shall, unless otherwise actively engaged, perform patrols of the building ( 3 times at least ) during his tour of duty.
- Discipline - enforce discipline and report/admonish/counsel on incident of indiscipline observed as appropriate, to ensure efficiency in service.
- Develop and recommend to the department, safety and security measures.
- Maximum security of both the apartment’s floors and public area.
- Maximum security of all exits, entrances and perimeter.
- Security checks at Staff Entrance.
- Check performance of personnel; read security log entry and identify needs for corrective action.
- Security of all store in the premises.
- Ensures that all security personnel reflect professional image of the property at all times. Make them aware that they should protect the guests and employees from any form of threats uncalled for.

3. Investigations - conducting investigation and putting the accompanying investigation papers/reports into cases which occur within the premises involving:

- Criminal act/losses and accidents caused to lives and properties;
- Staff misconduct
- Cases affecting guests/staff, which is of Management’s interests.
- liaise with outside police agencies in the investigation and handling of crimes, accidents etc involving the property, its employees and its guests.

4. Surveillance

a) Surveillance of Security personnel - to protect and preserve the integrity of the department by:

- Keeping tags on officers under his charge to ensure that they conform to correct work attitudes and accepted norms of conduct as expected of Security Officer.
- Intelligence gathering from within and without the department, to access their integrity and potentials.
- Taking appropriate action to report/encourage/counsel, if found necessary, depending on merits and demerits of the case.

b) Surveillance on Non-Security Staff - with the intention of:

- Ensuring that they abide by the House rules.
- Monitor movement of staff who are classified as suspect under investigations.

5. Cultivation of informers - with the intention of obtaining information of security interest which may of immediate/future use to the department for prevention/detection purposes.

6. Peace-keeping - keeping peace and order within the premises in dealing with criminals/trespassers/difficult characters.

7. Operations - participating in special assignment/operation conducted or organized by:

- The establishment for VIPs
- Private organization’s/individuals having official businessconnected with the property
- The department directions against criminal and undesirable elements.

8. Feedback - keeping the Safety & Security Manager constantly posted on all matters of security interests affecting the premises and the department.

9. Taking charge of all the locations responsibilities as to ensure efficient service.

10. Inspection and Follow-up - Conduct regular and periodical Safety & Security Audits and immediate follow-up action to rectify faults, damage etc; detailed in the following
- Perimeter Defense i.e. all fire exit door, link doors leading INTO and OUT of the buildings are fitted with locking devices or alarm system to ensure that they are in good working condition as an effective measure against trespasser and pilferage.
- Firefighting equipment and safety hazards.

11. Routine Function - routine day-to-day checks of the following items to ensure that they are properly maintained, issued or accounted for:

- Pocket diaries
- CCTV, FCP, Alarm Panel Operators Occurrence Book
- Duty Officer’s Occurrence Book
- Package and Security passes
- Keys and Key Registers

12. Meal Roster-meal roster for individual staff.

13. Daily Situation Report - reflecting all activities involving the department in the Daily Situation Report.

14. Attending Department Meeting and in-house training.

15. Performs duties common to all Security Officer and other duties as may be assigned.

**Salary**: RM1,700.00 - RM2,100.00 per month
