Firmware Manager

**Department Overview**: The Video Security & Access Controls (VS&AC) division designs, develops and manufactures advanced AI video analytics, network ,video management, sofware and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions that help change the way people interact with their security systems.
**- Manage personal activities of staff (hiring, training, performance appraisals)
- Provide on-going employee coaching, mentoring, development, and team building
- Set priorities that align with organizational goals and objectives
- Participate in software architectural discussions
- Evaluate feasibility of new products and features
- Work effectively with a geographically dispersed cross-functional team

***Basic Requirements**:

- Minimum of 4 years of management experience leading a team of software developers
- Minimum of 8 years of experience building successful production software systems, embedded software preferred
- Experience leading Agile teams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Firm grasp of modern C++ programming practices
- Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with ARM based embedded systems running Linux
- Firm grasp of operating system concepts including processes, threads, mutexes, interrupt handling, and exception handling
- Knowledge of image processing and video compression algorithms
