Gelang Patah, Malaysia Olam Food Ingredients (ofi) Full time

Responsible for raw material sampling and laboratory analysis (sensory, physical, chemical and microbiological tests) of incoming raw material, work in process, finished products, preshipment sample, market sample, competitor products and etc. Carry out monitoring and verification activities for pre requisite program.
- Perform daily routine QC functions on preshipment, incoming, in process, finished product and export outgoing Inspection.
- Perform raw material and finished goods grading. Identify, record and control non-conforming products and re-inspect of aging products.
- Ensure that the tests as assigned are performed in a timely manner in accordance to documented procedure.
- Maintain complete & accurate recordings of test results, investigate and highlight any abnormalities of the test results report on the significance of test results and follow up with appropriate actions. Generate neat and accurate records timeously.
- Maintain laboratory testing equipment and instrumentation in good operating conditions in accordance to approved procedures.
- Participate in verification and validation study related to process and product quality and food safety issues, which include verification test on final product quality and shelf life.
- Assist to monitor pest control program - perform weekly pest monitoring, ensure internal and external pest treatment or service is done according to schedule, attend to external pest control technician during routine service
- Assist to monitor hygiene and GMP practices in plant - perform weekly hygiene and GMP monitoring including environmental checks, report and highlight hygiene and GMP monitoring findings to the related departments
- Maintain a storage system and record to ensure retention sample are traceable and retrievable.
- Ensure a proper disposal of quality record and retention sample.
- Keep detailed log of all work related activities.
- Ensure all consumable, chemical, media, reagent, equipment, etc. are available for use. Ensuring sufficient stock of laboratory consumables by conduct stock check.
- Maintain a high level of health and safety, tidiness and efficiency whilst working.
- Maintain cleanliness of laboratory through proper housekeeping practices.
- Report to Lab Supervisor whenever non-conformances detected in workplace or product.
- Understand and maintain the implementation of 5S, GMP, GLP, PRP, HACCP and SAP system.
- Undertake any other related job as directed by Superior from time to time.
- Ensure safety, 5S, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Ensure all responsibilities and activities associated with this role meet the required health, safety and environmental laws regulations, obligations and duty of care.
- Work in conjunction with Outspan Management to ensure this area is well managed with respect to:
Risk management, incident management, reporting and injury management.

Culture of safe behavior in all aspects of this position and workplace.

Safe plant and equipment and a healthy safe work environment.

Safe use, handling, storage and transport of substances products and materials.

Maintaining a hygienic processing environment to deliver safe and consistent products to our customer.

Demonstrating a full commitment in quality and food safety throughout the production chain.

Continual improve the work processes to eliminate / control / reduce any potential hazards to the products.

**Salary**: RM1,600.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
