Job Scope
- Assist in performing Independent Credit Review and Post Mortem Review to ensure that the end-to-end credit process is carried out effectively and sufficiently, in accordance to the policies / risk appetite / controls put in place.
- To perform the ICR and PMR functions in accordance with the methodology set out in the respective manuals as well as to carry out the review professionally and objectively, in a timely manner. The process shall include but not limited to the following:

- To maintain and review the manual related to ICR and PMR.
- To engage with other teams / stakeholders (i.e. Portfolio Risk Analytics, Strategic Data Analytics, etc.) to conduct credit risk analytics to support the ICR planning as well as the focus area of ICR and/or PMR.
- To have active engagements as well as interview stakeholders during review to ensure accuracy of observations, and to seek feedback from stakeholders on the results / outcome / recommendations prior to tabling to committees.
- To ensure all results / outcome / recommendations of the ICR and PMR are communicated to Management and Board.
- To ensure timely and accurate tracking of all outstanding issues from ICR and/or PMR until resolution.
- To conduct training and/or knowledge sharing session on the observations of the ICR and/or PMR and share best practices to the relevant officers to continuously strengthen the credit risk culture of the organization.
- To maintain and review the credit related policies i.e. Credit Underwriting Policy for Guarantee and Financing that is aligned with credit risk strategy and business direction of the Corporation from time to time.
- To conduct review, supported with data analysis, on the Approving Authority Matrix in relation to the credit underwriting.
- To perform necessary checking/ review on write-off accounts.
- To conduct review and to provide credit risk advisory on any new / variation of business / operations proposals, which may have credit risk impacts.
- Assume responsibility of other relevant tasks/ adhoc projects as assigned from time to time.
- Job Requirement
- Experience: Minimum 6 years relevant experience in similar capacity in credit and/or market risk management preferably in the financial industry. Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivots, lookups, formulas, formatting, macros).
- Knowledge: Knowledge of Basel Accord, BNM regulations, MFRS 9, SME lending and Credit Risk would be an advantage.
