Manager, Network Planning

**Reports To**:

- Head, Network Planning

**Role Purpose**:

- The role is to develop a profitable Long-Term Network and Fleet plan for Malaysia Airlines and AMAL. Evaluate opportunities in new markets, competitor's assessment, route feasibility study for Joint Business, fleet evaluation, business model evaluation.

**Key Accountability**:

- To lead and develop 10 year's Network and Fleet plan for MH and AMAL group.
- Evaluate opportunities to new markets and emerging markets.
- Monitor performance of the Network and incorporate the capacity changes to the Long
- Term network plan.
- Keep abreast with the latest Industry news, market outlook, business models, competitor's activities and recommend necessary changes to the Long-Term Network Plan.
- Evaluate aircraft technology and the economics of the new technologies and where appropriate recommend changes to the Fleet plan.
- Lead the discussion on Network related matters with Joint Business Partners.
- Carry out competitive assessment (longer term), market demand analysis and the trend and the impact to the Network.
- Lead and conduct various Network business case scenarios.

**Qualifications & Working Experience**:

- Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economic, Finance, Engineering etc with 4-6 years in Airlines Industry, preferably Network Planning/Revenue Management & Commercial areas.

**Personality Traits**:

- Good analytical skills and excellent with numbers.
- Familiar with tools and database such as Excel, PowerPoint, Words, Network Planning System, Industry demand data DDS, Industry Schedule OAG, Fleet database & performance ASCEND.
- Basic project management & ability to develop financial models.
- Knowledge in Microeconomics, Traffic growth, Aircraft technologies and economics and basic finance.
- Presentation & Communication skills.
