Underwriting Administrator

**The Opportunity**
Our partner, a multi-class Insurance Underwriting Agency with 27 years of experience in the market - is seeking for an Underwriting Administrator to join their team.
The Underwriting Administrator will provide excellent support service to the underwriting team, with respect to processing of new policies, renewal invitations, policy endorsements, managing the team diary system and credit control including issuing notifications on the behalf of underwriters.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsible for processing and issuance of new business following the underwriting processes for all classes of business written by the company.
- Responsible for processing and issuance of renewal invitations following the underwriting processes for all classes of business written by the company.
- Solving credit control issues as requested by admin team. Investigating cause of issue, referring to Underwriters for advice/instruction, following up unresolved issues, contacting brokers to resolve.
- Assisting fellow underwriters and management.
- Assisting with Reception phone cover once a week.
- Processing and issuing commercial scheme renewals per Underwriting team’s instruction (e.g., drycleaner & laundry scheme, rowing club scheme.)
**Skills, Experience & Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Commerce/Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
- Must have strong administration skills and experience, preferably in the financial or insurance sector.
- Ability to learn and keep up to date with industry training standards is essential.
- Good written and verbal English Language communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills and interpersonal skills.
- A friendly, proactive attitude and the ability to fit into a diverse team.
