**Nurse Manager Scope of Service**

A Nurse Manager role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities aimed at providing effective leadership and management within the nursing department. **1. Leadership and Team Management**:

- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to the nursing staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- Oversee the performance management of nurses, including performance evaluations, goal setting, and career development.

**2. Operational Management**:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal utilization of resources.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care activities, streamline processes, and improve overall operational efficiency.

**3. Staffing and Scheduling**:

- Develop and implement staffing plans to ensure adequate coverage and appropriate skill mix.
- Create nursing schedules that meet patient needs, adhere to regulatory requirements, and optimize staff productivity.

**4. Quality and Performance Improvement**:

- Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement, monitoring key performance indicators, and implementing evidence-based practices.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and protocols to maintain high-quality patient care.

**5. Patient Care Coordination**:

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and the delivery of patient-centred services.
- Advocate for the provision of safe, effective, and compassionate care for patients.

**6. Budgeting and Resource Management**:

- Contribute to the development and management of the nursing department's budget.
- Monitor and control expenditures, optimize resource allocation, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

**7. Policy Development and Compliance**:

- Participate in policy development, revision, and implementation within the nursing department.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

**8. Staff Development and Education**:

- Identify training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities for nursing staff.
- Encourage a culture of lifelong learning and support nurses in enhancing their knowledge and skills.

**9. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration**:

- Build positive relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other stakeholders to promote effective communication and collaboration.
- Represent the nursing department in meetings, committees, and initiatives to contribute to organizational goals.

**10. Departmental Mission and Vision**:

- Collaborate with the nursing team to define and communicate the department's mission and vision.
- Ensure alignment of departmental goals and activities with the mission and vision.
- Uphold the departmental mission and vision in daily operations, decision-making, and service delivery.

**Salary**: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
