Drilling Superintendent

**Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Take an overall responsibility of all day-to-day operation on the rig including well completion to ensure no NPT without safety issues.
- Act as a focal person of daily communication with offshore team at 24/7 basis and chair morning call and afternoon call to ensure every concerned teams fully updated and understand status and way forward.
- Validate and operational procedures written by the drilling engineers, ensure their effective communication to the operational site and verify their execution. Validate operational decisions proposed by the drilling supervisors, seeking the endorsement of the chief drilling engineer and drilling manager if necessary.
- Communicate with other disciplines in office, such as PE, G&G, Reservoir dept for smooth operation planning.
- Report to the Chief Drilling Engineer and the Drilling Manager on any major incidents affecting operations
- Supervise the close out status of rig inspection findings and prepare and supervise acceptance test with third party inspector
- Validate the drilling programs, NOOPs, HSE documents prepared by engineers before operation and validate and finalize the daily drilling reports and share with Petronas/JV
- Oversee logistic plan and execution including personnel and equipment with Logistic coordinator and engineers in office for continuous operation.
- Prepare and validate various documentations, such as MOC, investigation report, presentation slides for internal and external parties (DWOP, TWOP, LWOP, etc) and end of well report. Participate in various meetings with external parties such as contractors, JV, Petronas.
- Ensure that drilling-well operations are carried out in compliance with safety and environmental protection regulations, JX NOMA DMS and other regulatory requirement.

**Job Requirements**:

- Preferably B.Sc. in Engineering (Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical or similar)

**Must**:

- Min 15 years of diversified experiences in drilling activities
- Min 10 years’ experience in Malaysia out of item (1)
- Min 3-5 years as a drilling superintendent out of item (1)
- Has working experience with TADU
- IWCF Well control Level 4
- Available to start working from Dec 2023

**Want**:

- Has experience of ERD well in Malaysia or nearby area (ERD ratio > 2.0 and MD >6000m).
- Has experience of brown field development where the PPFG are highly depleted.
- Well integrity knowledge and experience (NORSOK D010, Norwegian 117)

**Personal Characteristic & Behaviours**:

- Strong in leadership skills
- Self motivated and good in interpersonal communication skills
