REPORTING TO : Senior Manager, Exploration

DIVISION/DEPARTMENT : Exploration Project

LOCATION : KL Office

**1. KEY OBJECTIVES**:

- Regional and prospect-specific assessment of exploration potential of exploration blocks.
- Develop high quality prospect inventory, integrating regional studies and latest technology, mature prospects to ready-to-drill.
- Well Planning, execution and operational (drilling) for exploration and appraisal wells.

**2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Carry out 3D and 2D seismic interpretation and mapping integrating well data, log correlation to generate prospects and leads. Perform velocity analysis and evaluation of different time to depth conversion techniques.
- Integrate existing and new well and seismic interpretations into regional and prospect evaluations and databases.
- Identify and mature opportunities into ready-to-drill prospect, including the appraisal potential.
- Carry out resource assessment consistent with industry practices through the integration of geological, petrophysical and dynamic reservoir data.
- Prepare prospect prognosis including well proposal and well planning.
- Well surveillance, monitoring of exploration and appraisal well including well-sitting if required.

**3. WORKING RELATIONSHIP**:
Liaise with immediate team members and extended team members in Subsurface and Drilling including JV Partners.

**4. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Relevant degree with a preference for postgraduate qualifications.
- Minimum 8 years of multi-basin experience in exploration / appraisal / field development geophysics interpretation and reservoir characterisation.
- Experience in incorporating multiple data types and data sets to generate an integrated and comprehensive interpretation, particularly in areas with poor to limited data.
- Skilled in seismic data calibration, seismic reservoir characterization and hydrocarbon detection from seismic.
