**The Opportunity**:

- HSBC Clearing Operations are currently implementing a programme to build a robust and scalable capability in ETD (Exchange Traded Derivatives) and OTC (Over The Counter) Clearing (OTC (Over The Counter) Derivatives traded through Exchanges). This includes but is not limited to:

- Implementation of next generation ETD (Exchange Traded Derivatives) middle-office technology solution and its associated operational workflows.
- Tactical & Strategic ETD (Exchange Traded Derivatives) and OTC (Over The Counter) Clearing workflow solutions to enable House & Client business for new products and services launched by the CCPs
- Monitor and delivery of Mandatory and Maintenance Change as required by the Industry
- Further delivery of regulatory and business driven change on multiple Technology platforms (eg. ION XTP, FIS Intellimatch, Calypso)
- To this end we require a Project Manager/Business Analyst to join the Operations Strategy and Change Team to take responsibility for the delivery of Technology & Business workflow solutions to support the ETD (Exchange Traded Derivatives) and OTC (Over The Counter) Clearing.
- This role will require thorough analysis of existing processes and flows, plus operational implementation, working with various areas of HSBC Technology, Front Office and Global BAU teams in Operations and, where applicable, external vendors and Exchange/Clearing Houses.
- There will also be the need to undertake, where necessary, process reengineering activities such as the implementation of a ‘Follow The Sun’ global procedural model, whereby the day to day operational tasks are handled at optimal efficiency by leveraging HSBC’s Global operating model.
- Ensuring that all analysis is performed to a high standard and in accordance with HSBC project governance principles (Change Framework)
- Engaging with all internal project stakeholders to ensure requirements are met cost effectively while safeguarding ongoing investment into strategic vendor solutions.
- Ensuring that all project documentation is produced to the highest quality, on time and with appropriate sign-offs obtained.
- Working closely with colleagues in BAU Operations, Technology and the Business to ensure that processes are implemented appropriately & in accordance with stakeholder expectations and regulatory / compliance protocols.

- Project Management of key strategic project including all documentation, testing, post implementation review and stakeholder sign off.
- BA responsibilities - production of business analysis documentation, liaison with Subject Matter Experts to define current and planned business flows, prioritisation of developments and liaison with multiple stakeholders.
- Typical KPIs and Targets:

- Projects delivered on time and to budget, key milestones met, stakeholder requirements met, and issues managed.
- Stakeholders sign off requirements and testing on time & change is successfully delivered into BAU.
- Adaptability to flex the deliverables and timelines in accordance with defining and evolving priorities

**Active engagement with Customers / Stakeholders**:

- Global Markets Business - Derivatives Clearing Services Front Office
- Global Markets Operations (ETD (Exchange Traded Derivatives) and OTC(Over The Counter), IT teams, Compliance, Finance, Procurement, Network Management
- External vendors and Exchanges

**Leadership & Teamwork**:

- To work effectively within the global Strategy and Change team and build effective relationships with the Ops Line team, Front Office and IT counterparts.
- Ability to work with staff at all levels; to work with SMEs but also present to Senior Management
- Support the relationship with key vendors to ensure effective delivery.
