- Manage research activities to provide accurate and timely market and competitor information for strategic and operational decisions.
- Manage the most complex, large or difficult research projects; evaluate findings, prepare reports and make recommendation on the implications of alternative marketing and business development.
- Manage on a daily basis, implement and optimize the use of and add value to syndicated research. Challenge research agencies to guarantee high quality standards on outputs delivered in a timely manner. Research projects include and are not limited to: Nielsen retail audit, Brand Health Tracker, Bases II/CSI score, Usage & Attitude studies, Shopper Insight, Qualitative & Quantitative new product/concept development, Qualitative consumer and HCP communication development, Pricing studies, Need scope segmentation etc.
- Plan, prioritize, and manage research projects within established budgets and deadlines. The purpose of studies may be to measure current, and forecast future, market activity and consumer trends.
- Develop and implement insightful data reporting for all research work to help company to monitor brands/market in effective and consumer friendly way.
- Interact heavily with Consumer, Medical and Trade Marketing teams as team player, to ensure clear communication/understanding and action related to consumer and consumer opportunities.
- Liaise with Global/Regional Consumer Insights to utilize research tools and transfer best practices.
- Assist to drive consumer-focus behavior/thinking across organization e.g. home visits, market visits.
- Easy access of all data (internal and external) relevant to the organization. Establish systems to facilitate the storage and efficient retrieval of research data especially for product tests in line with R&D Manager.
- Lead, evaluate, coach and develop team members.
About you
- Possess recognized post graduate / graduate degree or equivalent in Marketing, Social Science or Statistics.
- Experience A minimum of 12-14 years in marketing / market research.
- Experience in both a research agency servicing FMCG client and within FMCG Company will be ideal. Specialist Knowledge.
- Qualitative and Quantitative research techniques.
- Passion in strategy, insights, marketing; keenness for continuous improvement.
- Creative and resourceful thinker; skilled in writing a brief and working independently with agencies to plan, design & execute research projects and strategy workshops
- Driven - Self-starter for solving problems and finding solutions.
- Effective Teamwork - Develops effective working relationships with others to achieve business results; Works well within and across teams; contributes to the greater good of the team.
- Good project manager. Attention to detail and a strong bias for action.
- Data-oriented with an ability to clearly articulate the big picture.
