F&B Cashier Job Description
Key duties, tasks, and responsibilities of the job.
- Welcoming customers, answering their questions, helping them locate items, and providing advice or recommendations.
- Take customers orders at the counter.
- Operating scanners, scales, cash registers, and other electronics.
- Accepting payment, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and proving a receipt to every customer.
- Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales.
- Processing refunds and exchanges, resolving complaints.
- Function as the host/hostess of the restaurant
- Make reservations for customers
- Receive food checks from waiters or customers
- Appeal to impatient or irritated customers, especially during rush hours
- Manage the register, including all credit card and cash operations
- Ensure a balance of the register at the end of the shift or working period.
- Maintaining a clean workspace.

Requirement
- High school diploma coupled with experience in related positions, as well as working knowledge in a similar role
- Customer service or cashier experience.
- Excellent mathematical, multitasking, and computer skills
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Proficiency in using computers, calculator, and other machines required for transactions
- High level of energy with strong customer services skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members I a fast-paced environment to provide excellent service.
- Outstanding customer relation skills and ability to ensure a customer priority culture
- Ability to work with flexibility in a continuous schedule of day, nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints.
