**Your responsibilities will be to**:

- Spearhead audit initiatives to support the accomplishment of Departmental objectives, goals and targets;
- Plan, organize and monitor audit activities and schedules in accordance with internal standards and the approved budget;
- Monitor and manage the efficient and effective utilisation of resources within the department;
- Assist in the development, enhancement and implementation of the Internal Audit Framework including any supporting policies, guidelines, tools, methodologies, etc.;
- Assist in the development of risk-based audit programs to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management and internal control systems implemented as well as assess business/support unit's compliance with relevant policies, procedures, regulations and guidelines;
- Communicate and coordinate audit activities including risk-based audit planning, execution and monitoring of audit findings as well as making recommendations for enhancements in internal controls and risk management;
- Liaise with business/support units for timely resolution of audit findings/control weaknesses;
- Supervise/Institute follow-up audits to ensure timely implementation and/or closure of audit recommendations and findings.
- Promptly escalate any major findings involving wrong doings or potential frauds during the course of an audit;
- Finalise the periodic reports on audit matters to Management and Risk Management & Audit Committee;
- Evaluate/assess material risks relating to audit findings and recommendations;
- Promptly escalate key information relating to audit findings and recommendations to
- Management and RMAC;
- Supervise the performance of special audit investigations and forensic audits as necessary;
- Assist to identify training needs and/or conduct training for subordinates to improve their skill sets;
- Supervise the work of direct reports in the department to ensure assigned tasks are properly carried out in timely manner to support the operating and reporting requirements of the Department.

**To be eligible for this role, you will require**:

- Degree in Accountancy/Business/or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years' working experience with exposure to financial services industry including related processes/controls;
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and conduct hands-on fieldwork;
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability with domain knowledge in financial services environment is highly advantageous;
- Preferred experience in financial or insurance related industries;
- Flexible and adaptable to dynamically changing work environments, including travel where
- necessary.
