**Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
**Safety Program Development**: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies. Ensure that safety programs are in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

**Training and Education**: Conduct safety training sessions for employees on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and accident prevention. Keep records of training sessions and participants.

**Workplace Inspections**: Regularly inspect workplaces to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Recommend corrective actions to eliminate or control hazards.

**Incident Investigation**: Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine causes and develop preventive measures. Prepare detailed reports on findings and corrective actions taken.

**Safety Audits**: Conduct periodic safety audits to assess the effectiveness of safety programs and identify areas for improvement. Ensure that all audit findings are addressed in a timely manner.

**Regulatory Compliance**: Stay updated on local, state, and federal safety regulations. Ensure that the company is in compliance with all relevant safety laws and standards. Prepare and submit required safety reports to regulatory agencies.

**Emergency Preparedness**: Develop and maintain emergency response plans. Coordinate emergency drills and ensure that all employees are familiar with emergency procedures.

**Safety Committee**: Lead or participate in the company’s safety committee. Facilitate regular meetings to discuss safety concerns, review incidents, and plan safety initiatives.

**PPE Management**: Ensure that employees have access to necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and that it is used correctly. Maintain inventory of safety equipment and PPE.

**Health and Safety Culture**: Promote a culture of safety within the organization. Encourage employees to report safety concerns and participate in safety programs.

**Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and safety audits. Ensure that all documentation is complete and up to date.

**Communication**: Communicate safety policies, procedures, and updates to all employees. Use various communication channels to ensure that safety information is effectively disseminated.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s diploma/degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Green Book Safety & Health Officer (SHO), certified Occupational Safety & Health Coordinator (OSHC)) are a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a safety coordinator or similar role. Experience in conducting safety training, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO45001). Familiarity with risk assessment and hazard control techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively train and educate employees on safety practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of attention to detail in all aspects of safety management. Ability to identify potential hazards and recommend effective solutions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Experience in industries such as manufacturing, or healthcare is highly desirable.
- Works in various settings, including office environments, manufacturing facilities, construction sites, and other workplaces. May be exposed to varying temperatures, noise, and potential hazards.
- Requires walking, standing, and occasionally lifting heavy objects. Must be able to perform physical inspections of workplaces, which may involve climbing or working at heights.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
