KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Perform to the duties and assume the responsibilities in each section assigned to them. 2.To supply the highest level of customer care and service whether in the public eye or in the back areas 3.To prepare, cook and serve any food delegated as your responsibility ensuring that the highest possible quality is maintained and that agreed standards for food preparation and presentation are met at all times. 4.Assists in cooking, frying, boiling, steaming, grilling, baking, garnishing and roasting during the rush periods or whenever required. 5.To have an understanding of menu planning, writing and the implementation of stock controls. 6.To report directly to Executive Sous Chef, carries out instruction and required to work on shift rotation or split shift, depending on the need of business. 7.To respond any changes on the restaurant function or banquet, dictate by the management. 8.To work closely with cooks, and ensure that they are given guidelines are followed at all times. 9.To check daily buffet and function order, require discussing with Executive Sous Chef if there are any changes. Always keep a good communication with Executive Sous Chef to ensure a smooth operation. 10.To ensure orderly handling of all raw product and check that quantities prepared are according to the recipes and specification. 11.To check cleanliness on daily basis of all storage area including chiller, store and working area. 12.To prepare and supervises daily mise en place and assure that all section are ready for service. 13.To provide a courteous and professional service at all time. 14. To maintain good relationship with own colleagues, and in all other department. 15.To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the hotel’s policy relating to Fire, Hygiene, and Health & Safety. 16.Always check the buffer counter, ensure the presentation and cleanliness as required. 17.To ensure that all cooks reports for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all time. 18.To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned. 19.To assist in the building of an efficient team of employees by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development.
