Assist in the preparation of ingredients and mise en place (preparation and organization of ingredients) for various dishes.
- Execute basic cooking techniques and tasks, such as chopping, slicing, and sautéing.
- Ensure that food items are prepared according to standardized recipes and under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Cook and plate dishes under the supervision of a higher-ranked chef.
- Monitor and maintain food quality, flavor, and presentation standards.
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation practices to prevent contamination and ensure food safety.
- Keep the workstation clean and organized
- Maintain kitchen equipment and tools in good working order, reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with inventory control by monitoring ingredient levels and informing senior chefs when supplies need replenishing.
- Properly label, store, and rotate food items to minimize waste.
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
