Tenby International School Setia EcoHill is one of the newer schools in the Tenby family and is set in a wonderful 14-acre campus with outstanding facilities. The essence of the school is that it puts great teachers with great students and provides the resources, facilities, and freedom to progress with learning. Tenby Setia EcoHill adapts the best of both traditional and modern learning and assessment pedagogy. Results are constantly reviewed, and targets set to continuously improve. Purpose of Role

Key Responsibilities
- taking responsibility for the progress of a class.
- organizing the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment
- planning, preparing, and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within their class
- motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative lessons
- maintaining discipline
- preparing and marking work to facilitate positive pupil development
- meeting requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development
- providing feedback to parents and careers on a pupil's progress at parents' evenings and other meetings
- coordinating activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, and supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
- working with others to plan and coordinate work
- plan and run a weekly CCA
- become involved in organising at least one whole school event

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
- Have a recognized teaching qualification (e.g. PGDT, PGCEi or similar);
- Have experience and excellent knowledge of teaching students across Key Stage 3 and 4;
- Have significant experience working with students for whom English is not their first language, including those with very little English at all;
- Have a minimum of 3years of teaching experience;
- Be willing to participate in educational visits;
- Use a wide range of strategies to assess and support language acquisition;
- Be asked to run one after school activity each term;
- Have a positive and solution finding approach to their working life;
- Appreciate the joys and challenges of working in an international school environment;
