The Opportunity:

Overall management co-ordination and responsibility for the day to day operational management of the Avantor Services team on our customer’ site. Responsible for health and safety requirements, training/compliance and line management of the Avantor staff to ensure delivery of a high-quality service to our customer. Liaise with other suppliers, senior stakeholders and the science community ensuring continuity of contracted services by measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs). May provide oversight to lower-level supervisor(s).

The Team

The Site Manager is a highly autonomous role that typically reports to Regional head of Avantor Services who generally is not based locally. The role has close interaction with field partners in Operations, Administration and Sales, to lead the on-site services team in managing on-site service programs such as stockroom/POU JIT delivery, chemicals management, laundry management, equipment asset management, and other support services requested by customer. The Site Manager will be the customer’s primary point of coordination for service process execution. In this full-time position at the customer site(s) we are looking for a dynamic capable and self-motivated leader who must possess the key capabilities/competencies noted below.

What we’re looking for:

- _ Education:_ Bachelor’s degree required
- _ Experience_: Min. 6 years of applicable experience and min. 3 years of leadership skills
- _ Collaboration Tool:_ Microsoft Teams experience preferred
- _ Preferred Qualifications:_
- Lean Six Sigma experiences preferred
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Experience in account management/development and implementation

Experienced customer facing leader who displays a passionate customer service focus
- Serve as the primary and senior point of contact onsite for all Avantor VWR service activities
- Participate and lead regular customer and team meetings
- Evaluate the team against Scope of work (SOW) and service level agreement (SLA) requirements along with management of changes/expansions of service in partnership with our sales team

Operations expert with demonstrated experience in achieving performance excellence
- Responsible for P&L inclusive of revenue, operating expenditures and profit
- Accountable for site performance metrics at the in the key areas of Service, Cost and People
- Conduct regular business reviews with both the customer and Avantor VWR management

Actively involved in business development
- Partner with our Sales team to identify, analyze, recommend and present additional business opportunities
- Participate in RFP’s and other contractual discussions/negotiations
- Cultivate a business relationship with the customer to expand service offerings

Capable and skilled in project management
- Lead various cross-functional projects that interface with key internal teams/resources such as Sales, Finance, Marketing and IT and have a significant business impact
