The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Director - Technology Strategy & Transformation - ID to join our team in Deloitte Southeast Asia. As a key member of our Technology, Strategy & Transformation team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering technology strategy and transformation engagements for banks in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of technology strategies and roadmaps that align with and support client business priorities.
  • Design and implement IT operating models, outlining strategic aims and defining various components of the IT function.
  • Assess application landscapes and define target state architectures and platform roadmaps to deliver business objectives.
  • Shape and run major IT transformation programs, including day 1 strategy, planning, operating model, architecture, and post-day 1 optimization and value delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape up and deliver new opportunities.

You will work alongside our clients to help them build and transform their IT functions, covering areas such as:

IT Strategy Development:

Developing a technology strategy and roadmap that aligns with and supports client business priorities.

IT Operating Model:

Designing and implementing IT operating models that outline strategic aims and define various components of the IT function.

Application Rationalization and Architecture:

Assessing application landscapes and defining target state architectures and platform roadmaps to deliver business objectives.

IT Transformation:

Shaping and running major IT transformation programs, including day 1 strategy, planning, operating model, architecture, and post-day 1 optimization and value delivery.Your Role as a Leader

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Tertiary qualification in a technology or business discipline with a well-ranked institution.

Minimum 15 years of working experience in technology strategy and transformation at consulting firms, in-house consulting roles, or in enterprise architecture roles working for a leading bank.

Demonstrated experience in technology strategy for banking institutions, with exposure to one or more of the following areas:

  • IT Strategy, Architecture, and Operating Model Design
  • Cloud strategy and transformation
  • Delivery of large technology transformation programs

A deep understanding of banking technology landscapes, particularly digital banking capabilities and underlying technology solutions.

Demonstrated thought leadership and eminence building in the marketplace.

Understanding of new-age solution provider landscapes and their capabilities across banking.

Experience with budgetary responsibilities related to projects or resources.

Exceptional interpersonal, team-building, and communication skills, showcasing executive presence with demonstrated ability to manage senior client stakeholders.

Ability to build consensus and foster change in ambiguous settings.
