About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to join our team at West Technology. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of our IT function and providing leadership to our IT team of 4 people.

Key Responsibilities

Some of the key tasks you will be responsible for include:

  1. Developing and implementing IT processes to build structure and best practices in the IT department.
  2. Allocating IT resources and planning workloads to ensure that service levels are maintained.
  3. Providing technical expertise and operational guidance for complex issues and escalations with networks & infrastructure.
  4. Participating in the delivery of new projects such as ERP upgrades and new system rollouts.
  5. Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with external vendors.
About You

We are looking for a 'hands on' IT professional who is looking for career advancement. You could come from an MSP background or have worked across various roles within a corporate business and are now ready to take the next step up to management.

Some of the key attributes we are looking for in your profile include:

  1. A degree or formal qualification in IT.
  2. ITIL Certification and the ability to work within the ITIL framework.
  3. Clear and concise communication skills- able to work with execs, entry-level employees as well as technical & non-technical stakeholders.
  4. Hands-on experience supporting network, infrastructure and applications for a 400+ user community across multiple sites.
  5. Prior experience with implementing processes and workflow standards.
  6. Proven ability to maintain high SLA scores, ideally within a ServiceNow environment.
  7. Leadership/supervision experience looking for career progression.

You will also have access to personalised training and development courses, and will be working in a highly visible role as 2IC to the National IT Manager.
