Key Responsibilities
  • Client Management
    • Assist the team in managing client accounts and projects, ensuring timely delivery and exceeding client expectations.

  • Media Relations
    • Stay up-to-date with the news agenda and position clients and products within context to drive media coverage.
    • Research and identify relevant journalists, bloggers, and analysts to build strong media relationships.
    • Develop media and blogger relationships to secure media coverage and drive brand awareness.
    • Monitor news sources and alert the team to breaking news opportunities to capitalize on media coverage.
    • Develop a deep understanding of strong news angles and media opportunities to escalate to senior team members.
    • Organize and coordinate media interviews and press briefings to ensure successful media engagement.
  • Content
    • Draft a range of written materials, including biographies, briefing documents, media alerts, soundbites, Q&As, backgrounders, and boilerplates, to support client communications.
    • Create compelling content for traditional and digital media to drive brand awareness and engagement.
    • Develop valuable and insightful briefing sheets to assist clients with their press communications.
    • Share knowledge on finding good news angles and hooks to drive media coverage.
    • Improve writing ability and adapt style to suit client needs.
  • Digital / Social Media
    • Use social media platforms to expand your network, develop media relationships, and positively impact client results.
    • Provide social media insight and execute and manage related digital activity to drive engagement and brand awareness.
  • Team Working and Development
    • Ensure personal and deliverable client objectives are met on an ongoing basis.
    • Accurately report activity levels and complete timesheets to ensure correct allocation of client and team duties.
    • Escalate general new business requests to appropriate team members.
    • Work closely with your line manager to maximize your strengths, improve weaknesses, and support individual and team career development.
    • Regularly attend TEAM LEWIS training sessions and daily press briefings to enhance skills and develop knowledge.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Track and report on media activity, including coverage reports, press clippings, and online media engagement, using metrics to show progress.
    • Ensure all account activity and results are reported back to the Senior Campaign Executive / Campaign Manager / Campaign Director.
    • Communicate account performance internally at account reviews.
    • Provide reports to the Campaign Director or senior management team on request.
  • General
    • Support the Account Servicing team on ad hoc initiatives and projects.
    • Take a proactive role in promoting the TEAM LEWIS brand, its work, identity, and values.
    • Support the HR/talent team by promoting both internal and external opportunities at TEAM LEWIS across social media and via the referral scheme.
    • Contribute and support the continuous improvement of systems, practices, and policies.
    About You
    • A communications or marketing-related degree (or equivalent).
    • Ideally, experience working in a PR, marketing, or digital communications environment.
    • Fluent in written and spoken Cantonese.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Proven written ability in English and local languages.
    • Creative thinking.
    • Confident presentation skills.
    • Keen interest in the media: print and broadcast.
    • Calmness under pressure and ability to achieve tight deadlines.
    • Clear interest in current affairs and news agenda.
