Reliability Engineering

The Reliability Engineering Department plays a vital role in maintaining the operational health of critical systems and developing best practices for Site Operations. This involves evaluating and improving the reliability and performance of existing infrastructure, ensuring equipment availability through maintenance programming, and providing technical support to Site Operations Teams. Additionally, they provide systems reliability and maintainability feedback to Design Engineering teams for future considerations.

Position Description

The Operations Deployment Coordinator is responsible for ensuring seamless transitions of new data centers to Site Operations teams and achieving Operational Readiness at Site Turnover from Construction. Key requirements include an understanding of data center facility operations, industry best practices, and site critical systems. This role involves collaborating with teams in Engineering, Construction, Business Operations, and Site Operations, requiring engagement at multiple levels of management within the company.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Act as a key point of contact coordinating Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, Business Operations, and Site Operations teams to ensure smooth transitions of new data centers to Site Operations.
  2. Participate in recruitment, staffing, onboarding, and training of new Operations teams at greenfield sites, contributing to the effective operational launch of these locations.
  3. Establish comprehensive program-level Operations protocols, procedures, and standards for newly built facilities to achieve Operational Readiness.
  4. Evaluate and ensure quality of Commissioning and Facility Acceptance necessary to deliver a technically sound facility to Site Operations.
Duties
  1. Maintain communication and collaborate with stakeholders throughout all phases of a new data center build.
  2. Manage schedules and facilitate cross-team engagement, keeping pace with Construction delivery dates.
  3. Ensure timely completion of Ops Site Deployment quality control checklists and Site Start-Up processes.
  4. Develop and compile Procedures (MOP, SOP, EOP Templates) for Site Start Up across all Sites in deployment, adapting MOP, SOP, EOP templates to Site Specifics.
  5. Ensure readiness of Operations Support spaces, including Tool shop, Critical Spares storage spaces.
  6. Verify site safety protocols, equipment, and signage are in place.
  7. Ensure Billing System Readiness and coordinate cross-functional contributions.
  8. Implement Asset Management Systems, account for Site Equipment, including Warranty and Spare Parts information.
  9. Populate CMMS with equipment data and maintenance scheduling plans.
  10. Deploy Site Security Systems at Site Turnover.
  11. Train Site Operators to operate and maintain critical systems.
  12. Verify Permits, Licenses, Agreements are in place for Operations.
  13. Set up 3rd party maintenance suppliers and contract agreements prior to Site Turnover.
  14. Support site mobilization, procuring spares, tools, and consumables.
  15. Evaluate site operating demands and recommend operator staffing, supporting hiring and onboarding of Site Operations teams.
  16. Review turnover documentations such as O&M's, as-built & record drawings, permits, certificates, and warranty documents.
  17. Conduct site walks and site turnover walks to ensure Operational Readiness requirements are met.
  18. Capture and share lessons learned for consideration in future builds.
  19. Coordinate formal transfer of site responsibility from Construction to Operations.
Job Requirements
  1. 5+ years of experience in technical roles in Critical Facilities Operations or Maintenance Operations with exposure to mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
  2. Or 5+ years of experience in industrial Construction or Commissioning in a technical capacity.
  3. Or 5+ years of Project Management experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  4. Excellent time management and organizational skills, defining these areas for other teams and team members.
  5. Able to create teams from various departments and work in a collaborative environment, promoting teamwork.
  6. The ability to initiate, drive, and deliver projects, communicating plans and findings to internal customers and stakeholders.
  7. Able to travel up to 25% of total work time.
  8. Able to travel internationally in APAC.
