Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to monthly forecasts and own daily/weekly output and quality targets.
  • Manage the performance, motivation, and satisfaction of all team members and processes to ensure key quality, output, and efficiency targets are met.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure multi-skilled capability among team members.
  • Conduct return to work interviews and first-level disciplinary hearings in a timely, consistent, and professional manner.
  • Manage controllable operating expenditures, such as scrap and consumables.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the production process and the tools and equipment used.
  • Understand the business unit and how decisions impact customer satisfaction, product quality, on-time delivery, and profitability.
  • Coordinate a wide variety of resources to meet production quality and quantity metrics.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Lead, manage, train, and motivate a diverse group of employees to achieve high production levels within tight time deadlines.
  • Use PC applications such as Word, Lotus Notes, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Control more than one production line and/or customer.
Physical Demands
  • Duties are performed in a manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc.
  • Duties may require periodic sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • May require occasional travel.
  • Above demands are carried out within the local existing Health and Safety guidelines.
Requirements
  • Four to six years of relevant experience.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Educational requirements may vary by geography.
