About the Position

As a Tax Analyst, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate and compliant tax returns, focusing on corporate income taxes, withholding taxes, income tax accounting, and tax operations.

  • This position requires a deep understanding of country tax laws and financial data analysis.
  • You'll also engage with internal and external stakeholders on tax matters, working closely with our accounting and treasury teams to ensure compliance with IBM's Tax Controls Framework and Tax Policies.
Duties and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing tax returns and supporting tax calculations for income tax returns, USGAAP reporting, and internal & external audit support.
  • Collaborating with our country tax teams and other IBM support functions to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 4-5 years relevant tax experience, with emphasis on corporate income taxes, withholding taxes, income tax accounting, and tax operations.
  • Strong skills and background in tax compliance & tax operations, with Big 4 experience a plus.
  • A formal qualification in Accounting/Tax (e.g. ACCA, MICPA, CPA, CAANZ, etc) is essential.
  • Fluent English language skills, with additional languages an advantage.
  • Proficient Excel skills, SQL knowledge an asset.
