Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Executive - Inventory Management Specialist to join our team at TIME's group.

About the Role:

The Executive - Inventory Management Specialist will be responsible for analyzing market trends and demand patterns to inform inventory planning decisions. This includes developing and implementing effective inventory management strategies to ensure optimal stock levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze market trends and demand patterns to inform inventory planning decisions.
  2. Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to ensure optimal stock levels.
  3. Collaborate with the Supply Assurance (SA) and Sales teams to analyze market trends and current demand patterns.
  4. Release purchase requisitions (PR) based on inventory and demand forecasts.
  5. Coordinate with the Supply Assurance team to convert PRs into Purchase Orders (PO), manage minimum order quantities (MOQ), and track incoming parts and related purchase order matters.
  6. Focus on reducing backorders. Collaborate with Sales to resolve backorder issues by reordering with alternatives or superseding parts, and manage order cancellations due to stop marks.
  7. Work with the PPE team to manage part lifecycle, including handling stop marks, superseding parts, and identifying alternative part numbers.

Requirements:

  • Possessed Bachelor's Degree in Inventory management or Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory planning and management, preferably in the automotive industries.
  • Proven working experience as Inventory planner.
  • Basic knowledge in customs procedures including import and shipping procedures.
  • Strong analytical abilities, able to generate action plan based on data analysis.
  • Basic knowledge in procurement.
  • Able to work independently in managing daily operation and ad hoc project.
  • Communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP MRP systems.
  • Able to speak, read and write in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Candidate must be willing to work at Glenmarie, Shah Alam.
