Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving revenue growth, leading sales teams, and managing key accounts.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join a leading recruitment agency in the region. As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and analysing market trends to stay ahead in the market.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- To develop and implement sales strategies to meet company objectives and market growth targets.
- To identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, both local and international.
- To analyse market trends, competitor activities and customer insights to stay ahead in the market.
- To lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team to achieve KPIs and sales targets.
- To coach and train the new and existing sales team members.
- To manage sales team performance and ensure they meet objectives, and align team efforts with company goals.
- To build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts especially in the Food Service & Horeca, distributors and partners (both local and overseas).
- To negotiate and close major deals with clients, ensuring long-term business success.
The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
- To prepare regular sales reports and present updates on market trends, achievements, and challenges to senior leadership.
- To develop financial forecasts, analyse sales trends, and report on results against financial goals.
- To work closely with marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment with sales strategies and product offerings.
- To track sales performance through reporting tools, analyse data, and adjust strategies to meet or exceed targets.
The successful candidate will require:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (MBA is a plus).
- 10 years of experience in FMCG sales management, preferably within the food manufacturing, foodservice and Horeca.
- Strong experience in managing importers and distribution networks in both local and international markets.
- Proven track record of leading sales teams, managing key accounts, and achieving revenue growth.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Deep knowledge of FMCG market dynamics, consumer behaviour, and industry trends.
- Experience in driving international sales, with a focus on cross-border operations.
