About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, strategic planning, and improving processes to support business growth across multiple countries.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop Financial Strategies: Create comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to drive retail and e-commerce growth.
  • Monitor Key Financial Metrics: Track sales performance, profit margins, and other essential metrics to inform business decisions.

Financial Management & Accounting Operations

  • Day-to-Day Operations: Manage daily accounting tasks, address escalated issues, and ensure timely completion of financial statements and management reports.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to optimize financial performance.
Consolidation
  • Consolidate Financial Data: Gather and analyze financial data across multiple entities and business segments to ensure accurate group reporting.
  • Intercompany Eliminations: Perform necessary eliminations and adjustments to reconcile balances.
Compliance & Taxation
  • Tax Compliance: Liaise with tax authorities and external stakeholders for audits and financial reviews.
  • Audit Support: Address audit issues and adjustments proposed by external auditors to finalize statutory accounts.
Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement
  • Process Automation: Streamline financial processes and reporting systems for greater efficiency.
  • Best Practices Implementation: Introduce best practices and automation tools to improve accuracy and productivity.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Degree Requirements: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Certifications: CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the retail or e-commerce industry.
Technical Skills
  • Microsoft Excel Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formula creation, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
  • Accounting Software: Experience with accounting software such as SQL and QuickBooks.
  • Financial Regulations: Knowledge of financial regulations and tax laws in Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
