We are seeking a Junior Trade Finance Professional at Commerz Global Service Solutions to join our team and contribute to the successful execution of trade finance operations.

Possess fundamental knowledge of latest versions of UCP / ISBP / URR / Incoterms and relevant current update of Letter of Credit related to ICC publications.

Diligently escalate any lapses in processing / handling to the respective Team Head for close monitoring.

Ensure productivity targets set are duly met efficiently / accurately and processing turnaround standards are achieved within own area of responsibility.

Cultivate teamwork within the unit/department and organization to foster collaboration at all times.

Observance of the company's requirements with respect to Compliance, AML and Reputational Risk issues (first level check) is indispensable in daily activities.

Responsibilities include:

Payment Processing
  • Understanding payment terms stipulated in the Letter of Credit.
  • Executing transactions accurately and on time in accordance with the Letter of Credit terms and conditions.
  • Reviewing and authenticating payment instructions against presented documents.
  • Handling payment discrepancies and coordinating with clients for resolution.
Swift Processing
  • Preparing and processing swift messages (i.e.: MT202, MT103, MT742) for payment instruction and interbank communications.
  • Ensuring accurate use of payment reference and transaction details in swift messages.
Compliance & Regulation
  • Monitoring compliance and regulatory requirements (i.e.: Anti Money Laundering & Know Your Customer procedure).
  • Adhering to internal policies and international trade finance regulations.

Key performance indicators:

  • Achieving processing turnaround standards as stipulated in the Service Level Agreement between the company and clients.
  • Meeting and/or exceeding productivity standards and competency in terms of processing efficiency and accuracy output.
  • Supporting implementation and initiatives carried out by management and the company.
  • Contributing ideas for improvement on processes and workflow.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in industry or equivalent.
  • At least 0 – 2 years of working experience with Trade Finance Operations.
  • Familiarity with Trade Finance industry.
  • Proficient use of MS Office.
  • Good command of English and possibly of another foreign language.
