Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager and is responsible for delivering patient care management and treatment under their care. They supervise and guide subordinates, participate in Doctor's rounds, and carry out duties assigned by superiors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide orientation to patients and their families upon admission or transfer, ensuring they understand the Patient's Charter.
  • Offer reassurance and psychological support to patients and their families during their stay in ICU/HDU.
  • Conduct initial nursing assessments within 24 hours of admission for direct patient admissions to ICU/HDU.
  • Administer and document medication as prescribed by the Doctor.
  • Perform clinical nursing procedures according to individual competency assessments and credential approvals.
  • Initiate resuscitation during Code Blue situations before the Doctor's arrival.
  • Notify the attending Doctor of abnormal lab investigation results.
  • Ensure accurate charging in HIS and charge sheets at every shift.
  • Perform 'Last Office' in accordance with patients' religious beliefs and customs.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience and certification as a registered nurse.
  • Valid nursing license and hospital background preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods, procedures, and emergency care.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures, with a willingness to follow them at all times.
