About Our Client:

We are a well-established waste management company offering comprehensive waste management and public cleansing services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, managing, and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department.

Responsibilities
  1. Leading, managing, and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department.
  2. Responsible for the monthly financial closing to ensure all books are closed by the 4th day of the subsequent month, which includes monitoring and analyzing accounting data and producing financial reports or statements.
  3. Prepare monthly billing/claims, identify variances between collection and billing/claims, and liaise with respective departments on resolutions.
  4. Check, verify, and reconcile all accounting transactions, including payables, receivables, bank reconciliations, and journals.
  5. Manage cash flow, review payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
  6. Liaise with auditors on auditing-related issues.
  7. Coordinate with Business Units for the annual budget preparation or the update of financial forecasts.
  8. Assist in any other ad-hoc duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
  • Possess a Professional Certificate or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other equivalent studies.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
