Game Content Translator

Our Vision

At Streamline Games, we aim to create immersive gaming experiences that captivate audiences worldwide. To achieve this vision, we need a skilled Japanese Linguistics Specialist to help us localize our content for the Japanese market.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Translate in-game content from English to Japanese, ensuring high-quality localization and cultural relevance.
  2. Implement translated text into the game, perform LQA, and provide bug reports and language error reports.
  3. Localize marketing content, including commercial videos and social media posts.
  4. Translate internal documents and interpret during online meetings with Japanese clients.

Requirements

  • JLPT N1 or Native Japanese level required.
  • Business or above level in English (TOEIC 800+ preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience as an English Japanese translator and/or proofreader.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Work experience in game development or operation, especially LQA.
  • 2+ years of experience as an ENJA translator/interpreter in video games or entertainment.
  • In-depth knowledge of LQA-related software and tools.
  • UI/UX localization knowledge.
  • Work experience with CAT tools (Trados, MemoQ, Memsource, etc.).
  • Fluency in other languages in writing and reading.
