As an SME Relationship Manager, you will play a key role in driving business growth and expansion by leveraging your expertise in SME financing products, credit risk management, and business development.

About the Job:

  • You will be responsible for marketing and originating SME banking financing products, deposit products, and Takaful for new and existing customers.
  • You will prepare credit proposals and obtain approval from the respective Financing Committees.
  • You will liaise with Credit Administration for completion of security documentation.
  • You will proactively monitor credit quality and implement strategies to mitigate potential risks.
  • You will work closely with other Business Development Units (internal & external) in promoting Bank Islam products and services.
  • You will manage disbursement and/or activation process and liaise with Sales Support Team and Credit Admin Department.
  • You will review customers' facilities and recommend course of action.
  • You will analyse changes in business activities or variations in risk profile and decide whether to maintain relationship or embark on exit strategy.
  • You will develop and maintain customer relationships, cross-sell bank's products and services, and monitor growth and quality of business portfolio to meet target.
  • You will evaluate adherence to and compliance with all internal policies, guidelines, and external regulatory requirements.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in SME banking, credit analysis, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of SME financing products, credit risk management, and business development.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to analyze and interpret financial data and credit reports.
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships and cross-sell bank products effectively.
  • Able to identify potential credit risks early and implement suitable action plans.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to manage complex customer situations and recommend solutions.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant financial software.
  • Knowledge of internal policies, guidelines, and external regulatory requirements related to banking and finance.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic, with focus on results and commitment to high standards of service.
