Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Project Financial Specialist to join our dynamic team at Yinson Renewables AS.

This role plays a vital part in ensuring the commercial aspects of our marine business unit and projects are properly managed, with contracts finalized according to relevant requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost control, preferably in the marine or oil and gas sectors, and excellent knowledge of contractual language and terminology.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and managing the Cost Controls function required for marinEV business unit and project execution;
  • Collaborating with management and various functional teams to review Client or Contractor/Supplier Contracts;
  • Establishing Project Control deliverables, reports, and processes to meet Company's requirements;
  • Ensuring Contractor/Supplier's payment terms meet Company's cash flow requirements;
  • Organizing and maintaining minutes for relevant meetings with Client, Contractor/Supplier, and Company;
  • Reviewing and providing input to Project Management plans;
  • Working with other YGT business units to identify synergies for standardizing cost reporting, and to ensure consistency in contracts and commercial practices;
  • Assisting in internal and external audits, reviewing records for accuracy and conformance to standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or Quantity Survey preferred;
  • Proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, ERP software system;
  • Experience in project control, cost management, quantity survey, contract, and commercial administration;
  • Preferably experienced in industries of Oil & Gas, Marine, and/or Construction;
  • Understanding of basic principles of Contract law;
  • Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations, the Company's Code of Business Conduct, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and other Company policies and procedures;
  • Ability to travel overseas for business;
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
