This role will play a crucial part in the day-to-day accounting operations, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and Oversee Accounting Operations: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full set of accounts, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL).
  • Financial Statement Preparation and Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Financial Closing Processes: Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Financial Analysis and Insights: Conduct financial analysis and provide valuable insights to support decision-making.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Lead meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to discuss financial performance and address any issues.
  • Bank Reconciliations and Transaction Recording: Handle bank reconciliations and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Audit Support and Compliance: Assist in the preparation and coordination of audits and implement audit recommendations.
  • Accounting Processes and Procedures: Maintain and document proper accounting processes, controls, and procedures.
  • Debit/Credit Notes and Travel & Entertainment Reporting: Generate and process Debit/Credit notes as needed, ensuring issues are resolved promptly, and handle Travel & Entertainment reporting and processing.
  • Ad Hoc Queries and Analysis: Respond to ad hoc queries and perform analysis as required.
Requirements:
  • Proactive and Continuous Learning: Proactive with a willingness to learn and adopt a continual improvement mindset.
  • Strong Communication and Leadership Skills: Strong communication skills, and ability to lead meetings and group discussions.
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent command of written and spoken English & Chinese.
  • Multi-Tasking and Time Management: Ability to multi-task within a high-pressure environment while meeting strict deadlines and switching between day-to-day operations and problem-solving.
  • ERP Systems and Office Software: Experience in ERP systems (SAP Business One would be a strong advantage) and high proficiency in Office, with a strong working knowledge of Excel.
  • Attention to Detail and Analytical Skills: Detail-oriented, sensitive to numbers, and analytically minded.
  • Entrepreneurial and Independent: Entrepreneurial and independent, with a problem-solving mindset.
Experience and Education:
  • Accounting Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of accounting experience, with a focus on managing full sets of accounts (experience in trading or import/export industry is a plus).
  • Educational Background: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related business field, and Professional Accounting Qualification or student membership (is a plus).
