About the Role

Making Cents International is seeking a highly skilled Financial Inclusion Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our global team, you will play a critical role in advising on financial inclusion strategies based on international best practice and emerging trends in digital finance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial inclusion strategies to strengthen and expand inclusive finance mechanisms
  • Conduct access to finance assessments to understand the financial system as it applies to specific target groups, considering supply- and demand-side issues, as well as supporting norms and regulations
  • Inform the development of innovative strategies to respond to key issues at the financial system, financial institution, and/or individual firm/client level
  • Provide technical assistance to financial institution and fintech partners to develop inclusive financial products
  • Communicate and coordinate regularly with Making Cents' technical staff based in the United States
  • Contribute to work plans, assessments, and reports as requested
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in a relevant field and 12 years of experience; OR Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 18 years of experience
  • Experience working on the financial inclusion of SMEs, women, youth, and/or other marginalized groups globally
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite)
  • Fluency in English
