We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer Intern to join our team at Edwards Lifesciences. As a key member of our IT department, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and develop your skills in cloud data engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with our data platform design engineering team to build and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and modeling.
- Support operational ETL issues by working closely with our experts, executing complex operating procedure reviews, and documenting findings.
- Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions, to ensure seamless data operations in our IT Cloud framework.
- Take ownership of understanding high-level business processes, system design, and integration, and apply this knowledge to drive process improvements.
- Build strong working relationships with our IT team and partners through regular communication and collaboration.
- Apply sound judgment and escalate issues as necessary, providing clear and regular updates to stakeholders.
- Assist team members with daily routine tasks and support reporting efforts.
- Contribute to research and tasks related to knowledge management and process improvements.
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Available for the duration of the internship period (4-6 months).
- Knowledge in AWS Data Lake, Data mesh, Data fabric & Data Bricks is an added advantage.
- Knowledge in Python, Glue, Airflow, ML, AI/Gen AI is an added advantage.
