Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Underwriting Specialist to join our team at Zurich 56 Company Ltd. As an IPZ Executive, you will be responsible for providing underwriting guidance and support to foreign Property Casualty Underwriters in the correct interpretation & application of country/regional underwriting practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise on wording and coverage thereby facilitating application of best practice and appropriate management of any risks associated with writing country/regional covers under foreign global programs.
  • Seeks advice and agreement where appropriate from the Receive underwriter and/or Technical Underwriting on more complex and specific coverage requests received prior to service delivery.
  • Take responsibility for the issuance of local policies, ensuring you correctly and closely follow instructions received from the foreign Service Specialist.
  • Complete in accordance with internal and external guidelines, stipulated time frames and quality thresholds.
  • Manage and resolve issues that arise during the insurance period that are related to local coverage requirements, policy issuance, premium payment, claims flow and program reporting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Underwriting area or other insurance area.
  • OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the Underwriting area or other insurance area.
