Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, source, negotiate, and purchase raw materials at the most favorable timing, deal terms, and best price for our organisation's needs.
  • Monitor and analyze commodities and products market trends as well as factors affecting price movements (e.g., weather conditions) to make informed decisions, especially for strategic purchases that will influence the cost of raw materials.
  • Constantly source, compile, negotiate, and evaluate prices, specifications, and terms of products and services provided by suppliers to ascertain the most favorable supplier available when products and services are required.
  • Work closely with various stakeholders, including suppliers, transporters, shipping agents, forwarding agents, and banks, to ensure timely, efficient, and effective operation processes, including deliveries, customs documentation, and payments.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Procurement, Economics, Trading, or equivalent, and 2-5 years of working experience in purchasing or a related field. They must possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.
