About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Voice Network Engineer to join our Technology and Operations team at United Overseas Bank Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, operating, and supporting IT voice network services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Administer, configure, update, maintain, and manage voice network infrastructure, including CUCM, IP Phones, Cisco Jabber, and Avaya applications.
  2. Support, troubleshoot, and rectify voice-related incidents and problems within service level agreements.
  3. Perform installation, development, testing, and deployment of new requests or projects based on required specifications.
  4. Deploy patches to voice network infrastructure based on patching guidelines and policies.
  5. Perform system configuration according to security policies and guidelines, and remediate any voice network issues.
  6. Monitor alerts on systems for voice network and resolve issues.
  7. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and Group Technology for requirement gathering, process improvement, change requests, and technology blueprints/roadmaps.
  8. Manage project delivery and implementation by 3rd party vendors and suppliers.
  9. Create, update, and maintain technical documents, inventory, design documents, known errors, and audit documents relevant to Network and Communications.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and experience in IT voice networking, preferably with relevant certifications related to Cisco Voice/Avaya Telephony systems. They should possess hands-on skills in operating voice network infrastructure, including CUCM, IP Phones, Cisco Jabber, and Avaya applications.

Strong knowledge in TCP/IP networking with a good understanding of principles/design is also required. The candidate should have strong problem-solving and analytical skills and be able to work together in a team environment.

Sound experience in running and managing IT voice network projects is essential, with the ability to see a task through from assignment to completion with minimal supervision.

Experience in handling audit work, dealing directly with auditors, and regulatory requirements is also desirable.

Possession of ITIL skills and knowledge in Bank Negara Policy, such as RMIT, will be an added advantage.
