Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Business Consultant Leader to join our Global Employer Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading client engagements, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and providing guidance and support to team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage client engagements, including compliance season planning and risk management.
  • Keep abreast with the latest employment-related regulatory developments and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Research and prepare materials for advisory projects related to employment tax planning.
  • Work with Partners/ Directors on business development opportunities.
  • Manage multiple projects and assignments and ensure that services provided are within the agreed service level.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members which aim to develop and motivate the engagement team.
  • Assist with financial performance management of the engagement by monitoring billing and collections status.
  • Involve in public speaking such as providing internal training, speaking at client seminars/events.
  • Lead work-related initiatives such as technology, business development, and talent management.

Your Leadership Role

As a leader at Deloitte, you will be expected to influence clients, teams, and individuals positively, deliver exceptional client service, and develop high-performing teams. You will also be responsible for working effectively in diverse teams within a highly inclusive team culture where everyone is supported, respected and recognized for their contribution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a business-related field. Candidates with recognized professional certification such as ACCA will also be considered.
  • Possess at least 5 years' experience in handling personal income tax, preferably gained from other major accounting firms or other related organizations.
  • Excellent verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • A team player and versatile to work with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Mature in handling client issues and possess good interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize and organize workload.
