The Job Description
  • Co-ordinate with Shared Service Centre Kuala Lumpur Finance teams to execute critical month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Perform analytical reviews of profit and loss accounts and balance sheets, ensuring financial accuracy and responsibility for Internal Controls of Financial Reporting (ICFR) documentation and internal controls matters.
  • Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, follow up on open items, and rectify any anomalies encountered. Submit other reporting packages accurately and within specified timelines.
  • Manage aspects of Accounts Receivables, review and approve manual billings, review debtors' ageing, and determine follow-up actions. Ensure all sales-related activities are reported timely and accurately.
  • Treasury: Manage cash flow forecasting, arrange for necessary fund transfers, and oversee FX deals, credit facilities, payment requests, and banking matters.
  • Master Data: Oversee chart of accounts, cost center, profit center, WBS, vendor, and customer master data management, as well as preparation of statutory taxes calculations and reconciliation, including tax reporting and liaison with Tax Consultant.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce is required, with ACCA, CPA Australia, or equivalent accounting professional qualifications being an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in related fields and at least 3 years in an accountant role or audit experience, with knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial reporting, audit, and taxation.
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software, preferably SAP, and MS Office tools, along with meticulous attention to detail, independence, proactivity, and ability to execute tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, expressing ideas and expectations clearly and concisely, proven track record of effective relationship and stakeholder management with diverse populations, proficiency in influencing skills, and comfort working in dynamic environments.
  • Fluency in English, Vietnamese/Thai, and other languages is an added advantage.
