Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Kerjaya. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our plant's machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintenance and Repair: Ensure all machinery and equipment are in good working order to prevent disruption of operation.
  2. Reliability and Support: Plan, implement, and maintain effective maintenance and support services to the Production Department in accordance with Company and other regulatory requirements.
  3. Defect and Breakdown Management: Operate an effective system of recording, analyzing, and monitoring reported defects, breakdowns on equipment, facilities, and other incidents to enable appropriate decisions or actions to minimize productivity shutdown.
  4. Response and Resolution: Provide prompt response to inquiries or requests whenever there is a breakdown and resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
  5. Team Support: Continuously support and assist technicians during machinery and equipment breakdowns and repairs to maintain efficiencies, capability, and productivity. Develop maintenance knowledge and experience by showing leadership abilities to subordinates.
  6. Risk Management: Provide input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operation.
  7. Audits and Compliance: Lead and perform scheduled audits or random audits on the PM & TPM tasks performed by maintenance technicians and the production team.
  8. Workflows and SOPs: Develop or support the creation of workflows and SOPs for the execution team and support the reliability team.
  9. Resource Allocation: Ensure scheduled work orders and preventive maintenance schedules have appropriate resources allocated and completed in accordance with the appropriate priority to maintain the quantity and quality of production.
  10. Equipment Replacement: Recommend replacement for old or faulty machinery and equipment components to management to achieve continuous and effective operation.
  11. Value Analysis: Apply value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign, and make/buy decisions.
  12. Tool and Spare Parts Management: Ensure the availability of tools and spare parts to support breakdowns and maintenance tasks.
  13. Inspection and Compliance: Inspect machinery and equipment installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design, equipment specifications, and safety standards.
  14. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with all other sections and departments including Reliability, Facility, Production, Purchasing, QA, and other related departments on machinery and equipment conditions and efficiencies.
Requirements
  1. Education: Degree / Master in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent.
  2. Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in the related field. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  3. Skills: Good planning, analytical, technical knowledge, and project execution skills.
  4. Communication: Good communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Malay.
  5. Computer Skills: Good computer skills with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project & Engineering software such as AutoCAD is an advantage.
  6. Leadership and Multitasking: Dynamic, service-oriented with good leadership, able to work independently and multitask responsibilities.
