Your key responsibilities include:

  • Designing stable, reliable, and effective databases
  • Modifying databases according to requests and performing thorough tests
  • Solving database usage issues and malfunctions
  • Developing stored procedures and SQL queries
  • Collaborating with developers to improve applications and establish best practices
  • Gathering user requirements and identifying new features
  • Performing database updates and migrations
  • Ensuring all database programs meet company and performance requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A BS Computer Science degree or equivalent industry experience
  • At least 7 years of experience developing relational databases on Linux platforms like PostgreSQL
  • In-depth understanding of data management, including permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring
  • Proficiency in creating complex stored procedures and SQL scripts
  • Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications
  • An ability to understand frontend user requirements and have a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
