The Fixed Asset Accountant role is responsible for maintaining and updating the fixed asset records. This includes ensuring the fixed asset register is updated monthly, considering all receipts, disposals, transfers, or write-offs of assets, calculating depreciation accordingly, and reconciling the fixed asset register to the general ledger monthly.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will work closely with various stakeholders within the organization to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and implementing controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets.
  2. Providing expertise on accounting policies related to fixed assets.
  3. Compiling project costs into fixed asset accounts and ensuring timely closure.
  4. Recording fixed asset acquisitions, dispositions, and depreciation in the SAP accounting system.
  5. Reconciling the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to BW/SAP Trial Balance, CRS, and BPC.
  6. Conducting financial analysis and forecasting related to fixed assets.
  7. Preparing financial reports and statements relating to fixed assets.
  8. Ensuring FA Period-end and Year-end Ledger Closing is completed in a timely manner as per Global KPIs.
  9. Collaborating with stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.
  10. Verifying data accuracy for reporting purposes.
